Bellows weight

Another interesting first for me was casting the lead weight for the top of the bellows. This was done by heating lead in an old saucepan on the kitchen hob.
An amount of lead was calculated from the density and volume. I made a simple wooden mould and it worked like a dream. The ingot was then stuck to the top of the bellows, replacing the old lump of aluminium and chunk of wood.
