The size of the instrument, and the design of the soundboard and bridge are determined by the length of the wires.
The brass wires are 4 different diameters 0.8, 0.6, 0.45 and 0.325mm and the length is found by using the jig in the photo. Using a flat board and two bridges, the length needed for a given note is found by using the phone app for frequency, and tuning meter for accuracy.
